...how long would I be without the car for, on average?
If I was to spray it a colour close to Cardinial (either Regency or a sparkler..), would the time differ? Fanks!!

i wouldnt think colour choice would have a great difference.....are you going to strip it bare or just paint over?????

well ya wouldn't bother doing door jams and underside of bonnet/boot etc.
so time saving there. it all comes down to who is doing it and how dedicated they are to THAT project.

The time taken depends if your doing a colour change. If you are then it won't matter what colour it is, will take the same time. Another thing to consider is your engine bay are you going to get that painted?? becuase if you do it will definatly take longer

Yup, that's why I was asking.
I can't be without a car for too long at all, especially in the new year, so wasn't going to bother with door jams/engine bay if I go Regency.

You can blend it in, but if you are going to the trouble of doing that, then it will be cheaper to get the jams done anyway. Its not hard, all they have to do is take the doors/boot and associated rubbers off and paint the shell as a whole

there is more time involved. and this is about saving time.
if the boot, bonnet and doors were closed, they'll somewhat blend themselves.

Andrew, I threw Sparkler in there as a last resort. If I stay close to Cardinial, she'll be going Regency (which I LOVE!), or if it's a full respray, it'll be black. Just depends on when and time, really....

Go good old Regency Red; its very unique and looks s**t hot when new/really looked after, sparkling burg is way too popular/boring for the 'funbus'
what made you wish to tke this up anyway ambs; got money burning a hole in your pocket? (ps if so, i take donations) haha

Is your paint in good condition as is?
Why not just getn a clear coat with a pearl (colour of your choice) in it? Would save changing colour, and repainting the entire car (saves money and time) and would give a different/custom colour effect. |
