As above, recieved the following email:

Quote:
Well, they are here FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY.
You showed some interest in these a while ago.
If you're still after a set, please email back with your full name asap.
Again, stocks are very limited, you will receive based on your number in the q.
All orders will be fulfilled but after this initial batch we will have to wait a few weeks to get the next lot - although it shouldn't be as long as last time!
After your reply, payment details will be sent - NO CHEQUES, DIRECT TRANFERS - Postal Money orders only.
cost will be $70, that will include:
2 x lense units
2 x orange globes
1 x box
postage and handling within Australia,- NZ, Fiji a little more.

Clear indicators have come in from wherever they are made...

Email ratxr8@hotmail.com if you are interested asap...

The reply i got was as follows
Quote:
thanks for your quick replies and patience thus far.
ok the deal is as follows, the units, as we all know, are hard to source. to speed up manufacture and counter a problem with the initial batch released, the manufacturer has made some subtle changes to the lense unit, for those of you who may not be aware, they are as follows:

a) the rear 'v' clip to each unit has been deleted, it was found a weak point and matching the factory rigity was extremely difficult.

the method of fixing is as shown in the attached images, essentially double sided foam tabs. the disadvantage of this is you need to be careful in detaching the unit for whatever reason ie. replacing the globe. Seeing new amber globes are included in the kit, this shouldn't be a problem too soon - if ever. the advantage is that would be thieves are going to have a difficult time in taking them.

b) the second change is the unit backing is now grey plastic as opposed to a white plastic painted silver. the advantage here is that the glue of the 2 faces doesn't react with the paint causing weak contact spots. IMO it is a much more robust unit than earlier pieces although if I must make a comment, is that the glueing is not so neat in some minute spots - remember, I DO NOT MAKE THESE, I'm simply an enthusiast who has been put in the position of contact point for the manufacturer - who has no public sales as most of their work heads directly overseas. This glue work really isn't that noticeable and for the completely different look they offer your vehicle, will not dissappoint.

Please view the attached pics and make an informed decision, should you not wish to proceed, please let me know asap so I may pass them on to the next person in line.

OK, for those who want a set, this is the followinginformation you'll need.
Postal money orders ONLY, we have had problems with our bank not recognising who actually direct debited in the account, people end up waiting thinking the money has gone missing because it takes so long for us to trace multiple deposits.

Please email your agreement with full name and preferred delivery address asap.
Please also note that should the order be received before this Thursday, items will be dispatched before Christmas - if you aren't sure, please hold onto your money and let me know, once I get back from my short break, we can pick up again, thanks very much

thanks argon el for getting the word out - all arrived units are spoken for but if others are still interested, still forward your details on.
to add, the units are fixed by the tabs BUT are also attached via the twist lockin globe and wiring - as per the factory unit. we have had them on YLOOOZ and my brother's ELXR8 for over 3 years without any issues.

christ, people go on how ricey clear lights are and the amount of people are like 'oo and ahh' over these things is amazing lol.

the high/mid series nf/nl style ones are much nicer, alternatively having them black with ur pin striping or colour coded (lightly tinted) would look better imo! but i guess whatever floats your clear boat!
