Hub Adapters are legal in NSW so ive found out. Not in VIC though.
Spacers are NOT legal in any state. Difference between the two is a hub adapter first gets bolted onto your hub then your wheel gets bolted onto the hub adapter which is already bolted to your hub, wherefor a spacer is just that, a spacer/washer like which can crack/snap off anytime. Tempe Tyres, and Neils Wheels in Sydney have adapters for approx $75-85ea. But both places will include them in a deal with wheels if you buy a set from them. |

I have the spacer 'hub version' on my EF XR6 - it works fine.... Noticed a bit of vibration around 90-120km...... Yet to rectify - but i think its either my front tyres (as the wheels came off a BA XR6 with about 60% rubber) or something like that..... Not a major problem but definately a thing ill be checking out in the next few weeks while my beast is getting a fresh coat of paint.
