In what regard? Definatly not illegal as this is how the lights on au fairlanes work. My parkers are in with the high beams and when normal lights are on the parkers stay on giving the quad look your after. Might get a photo if l remember or can be bothered getting cold outside

Just a thought on thies regard... consider using white LED's instead of normal globes. They draw less current and wouldn't need replacing.
I also think it would look alright. Don't know about legality... but Im sure no officer would pick the difference. Good luck

Good luck The LED light is pretty directional, so if you use LED's, face thhem up into the reflector stuff, so they light up the housing, rather than forward out of the light. Just a thought. |

The editor (I think) confirmed it to be illegal yada, yada, yada. But as someone said earlier it would take a keen eyed cop to pick it. Ever thought of actually asking the lawmakers instead of a bunch of rev heads?

Lol good point AU-mustd!
I'll just put a switch in so I can turn them off at RBT's etc if this is the case. A cop would have to be pretty smart, know his cars and be a hard a** to defect that.

its not the point of where the parker is located, its a point of if the modification affects LIGHT output, so by drilling a hole through the reflector you are reducing its area, and therefore light reflecting ability, HOWEVER, if the parker stays on when the highbeams are on, your not really reducing the light output are you?

There is absolutely no noticeable difference in light output. Just have to aim them properly again.
And no, I would have reduced the light output/spread slightly as the parker globe puts out f**k all light. Just enough to make the lense glow. But with lights on, you cant tell the difference driving.

Good job, looks good. Hope you did not touch the Chromed surface of the reflectors. The heat in the reflectors will damage the chrome where you touched the surface. Anything that increases your safety and that of the others on the roads is always a BIG plus. Making yourself more visible on the road, be it only parking lights, is probably not being seen as braking the law. It is probably seen as common sense. Anything that distracts traffic or makes a vehicle un-roadworthy is a NONO. It looks like you have the parking lights inserted at the bottom of your reflectors? If that is the case the amount of light lost is negligent and is only going to be a small area immediately on the road right in front of your vehicle. As long as you have not altered the focal centre of your reflectors, the light reflected from rest of your Hi beam reflectors will be sufficient and as usual.
