ok been looking for the last couple of days at sunroofs on ebay, they seem to be going for around the $60 mark, does anyone know the easiest way of installing one, i'm not really sure on how to do it, but how hard could it be ????

the only hard part would be cleanly cutting the hole in your roof and rustproofing it, as for the roof itself i'd be worried about the leaking of a cheaper sunroof, not just into the car but around the seals allowing inside of roof exposure to water all the time
other than that shouldn't be too hard if you have some skills with a jig saw and angle grinder

not really sure, but i think measure twice, cut once would be the right thing to do.!

ok the sunroof is metal round the outside and looks like its been stuck on with that black silastic stuff, my concern is the support beam that goes through the roof under the lining, you's reckon i should just cut it?? :P
i just wanna get it in now, guess i wont know till i take the lining off?!

might wanna ask someone who has a stock sunroof and has seen it with the lining off ans see if fraud did something with the support bars!doubt it though they probably just cut through too

the first support bar isnt until the interior light so you should be right.

ohhhh ok, what about the little bars that go through the lining???, its a ute too not a sedan.

that be the best bet. i have seen a couple pics of utes with sunroofs. might have a lok at work tomorrow if i remember.
