Probably would cost about $100 max...

Amber's one is a manual one, not electric.

Good job!

Hey guys,

Thanks for the comments.

The sunroof cost us $75, and all up to install cost $75! :P

Took around an hour to put in.

It was pretty much cuttin' a big hole and shovin' it in!

What did the installation costs include? instruments? or materials used?

Whats it like from the inside?

that looks pretty good for a DIY job, nice work. How hard was it to cut through the roof?

hey thanks for good wrap guys.
Well for starters this is the third sunroof i have put in so its getting pretty easy for me now. As you can see from the pics my lovely wife took, we found our sunroof of ebay but i have also found em at wreckers should get a good one under a $100 check the seals and the rubbers not detorating. Nothin worse than a leaky roof!

Ok the tool is a pair of side cutters design to go anti-clockwise, you can all so get ones to go the other way too but these are perfect for the job. Now the masking tape is there so i dont scratch the paint work with the cutters as you work around the hole(found out this from past attempts)also help when marking out the hole, check it then check it about ten times after that, remember f**k this up your rooted!! So make sure its right.

Cuttin the hole is slow going, not overly easy but not imposible either. once the holes cut thats pretty much is the hard part done. Just fit it all back together and seal the sunroof frame to the roof ie.silicone, selley allclear, something good anyway just make sure the thing dont leak under ther frame, oh forgot just cut the roof lining with a stanley knife. when it all together should have a awesome lookin sunroof inside and out.
anyone wants to know more ask away only to willing to help out.

jase..

i just wanted to add to what i've just put up and although it looks easy they do take abit of stuffin around to fit, depends on the make of the sunroof some are easier than others but with abit of thought and planning and taking your time should be a peice of piss..
hope this helps jase..
