There seem to be problems getting this car registered you will have to ask the owner about this BEFORE buying

Seats and minor trimming in door trims/console lid is about $3000

JETXR is currently registered & ON THE ROAD.
how ever to change over would involve a road worthy.
in order to pass i'd say a few 'minor' changes would be required.

pod/intercooler, would need airbox fitted.
steering wheel.
right height possible.
guages.

the fact that it has a newer engine in it that was already fitted with a turbo makes it a lot easier to get engineered compared to us people who turbo our current engines.

Then again, QLD's a completely different story to Victoria so a lot can change.

n if the authority's are realy tight a** then they might also have a prob with the "square hole in the bonnet" to make clearance for the rocker cover...

Removal of the Airbag is the problem, safety issue i spose. To do with what the car came out of the factory like. Coulda fitted a GT sterring wheel and kept the airbag like i did.

almost certain it is a "Jetspeed" front bar..
hhhmmmm is an "import brand" bodykit manufacturer.. so could be a lil pricey..
although the wheels and the rest of the car compliment that front bar pretty well (thank u mr intercooler) u would need a pretty wild car to justify that front bar.. not like the many hsv front bars on vs commodores..(executives) each to their own though so follow ur heart..

apart from all that i realy like "jet xr" i think that front bar suits the dark coloured xr...

sweet well ill b getting in contact with jetspeed then well i got nice 19's on mine and it sits really low, plus im getting it painted black so i think in black with a midnight purple or dark blue pearl threw it that front bar would be perfect. and yes i no it costs and arms and a leg to respray a car black, ive done all my research on it. ive got a good mate who works at a panel beater/spray shop so doin all prep work etc for a carton or 2:D:D saves alot of cash

changed steering wheel after roadworthy?
no passenger airbag? big deal.
a large percentage of eseries don't have them.

shouldn't all EL XR's have them? (unless it started life as a GLi :? )

don't get me wrong, i am a big fan of this car, but somethings on it look very half done. :?

im pretty sure that all the el xr's didnt come with a passenger airbag as std.

even if it did, your saying the car looks half done because hes put in a normal dash without the passenger airbag?
