I'm looking at getting a pretty stock '99 AU, but would like to be able to make it look nicer later on, can the later XR etc bodykits bolt straight on, or did something change?

GF = no contratcual obligations under law and therefore your money is yours and you should just go out and get the bodykit.

Bodykit is useless unless I can convice her we need the car (need the car to put the bodykit on :? )
Ye ol' XF wagon is startign to cost lots of money, things constantly needing to be fixed, using lots of fuel.

So tell me how is buying a newer car going to change the expenses of the old one again...

old car = cost of fuel and repairs
new car = cost of fuel, body kit, engine mods, lowering, mags, sound system... lots and lots more

Overall spent more... But don't let the GF decide for you, she'll ruin everything else once you give her that sort of power early in the relationship.

get an AUII rear bar so you can fit the AUII tickford kit, its a bit more modern than the AUI tickford kit ( which kind of dates back to the EF the way it is styled..)
If you're talking about the XR front and you want the bodykit too, check out awcinfo.com. Their XR50 bodykit is tough as nails..

I'm getting the feeling both Timmeh and 80crm have been burnt before

Rampage101, going from XF to AU is going to be a bit of a shock to the system.
A good mind one mind you!
Genuine kits can be pretty expensive (read: alot expensive), but there's alot of companies making fibreglass kits for the AU's that aren't as expensive.
You can even get carbon fibre bonnets for the AU with a BA XR8/GT bulge!
Check out site sponsor Canberra Car Styling, they do a few AU kits I think.
Hope it all goes well.

yeah it does fit perfectly if you get an AU1 kit. If you want the AU2 tickford kit you need a new rear bar, AU2/3 have fatter rear bars.

c2r are no longer around, they went bust but www.awcinfo.com are doing fibreglass versions of the c2r kits now. They dont'do the forte front bar but. They also do the T3 bodykit and a coupld of others for the AU too.

Was the Havoc kit made by C2R? I don't mind that one with the series 2/3 Tickford 17' mags.
