does anyone know any secret methods on how to find a leak in my boot I have already tightened it down until it starts to sit lower than the guards.
I have two 12'' subs and I can turn them right up & still cant find any air leaks, I put the hose on it & still dont leak but when it rains it LEAKS?

Might be leaking through back window into the boot.

check round your tail lights my ea leaked through there took ages to find how water was getting in as it was running under boot carpet making a wet patch in middle of boot.
The foam round the bk of the lights had dryed up making gaps .

G'day all,

Does it seem to only fill up with water when its been driven in the rain and not just parked in the rain?
I have a theory that if this is the case, that the water/rain is entering at the front corners of the boot where it wraps around the rear window. As your driving along, and the rain water is being forced down the rear window and hits the seal at the bottom, it is being blown (like a ventury effect) into the little holes at the corners and then it runs down to the rear of the boot lid.
If you notice the sealing at these points leads alot to be desired.

I havent tried fixing this problem yet, but think it is possible. The only question is about the amount of water that makes it into the boot lid, do you think it would be that much through this way?

It only seems to be leaking around the window area as everywhere else is dry.But leaks when i am parked aswell as driving & all the seals are like new even the sealing on the panels itself,but..... i am getting closer...( i think :? )

I had the same problem as you, the drainage area near the taillights was blocked, so i removed the tail lights and cleaned it out, it fixed it for a month, know the darn boot is leaking from somewhere else.

now this thing is f**k s**t me I have removed everything from everywhere and I can see where the seals are working as there is a clean spot where it contacts and there's no way water can get thru, everything looks like it just come from the factory, the rubbers even have that greyish coating like new. f**k this i'm gonna finnish this jim beam and think some more!!!

i have a method to find a leak...lock yourself in the boot through the passenger seats in the rear with a torch and get someone to spray a hose into the boot...what do you see?
