Firstly, forgive me as I'm really not overly car-savvy!..but I need to replace a front indicator/parker cover on my 1998 ford long-reach ute (EL I THINK..but really not sure. Possibly the XH XR?) ..but the body-kit appears to be an XR and I have been told the bits and pieces can be difficult, and expensive to find and replace! Never-the-less I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction as I would really like to replace it asap but am unsure on where to find one? I've spent hours on google with no such luck..

This XR8 sedan model appears to have the exact same front as mine..http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1996-1998_Ford_EL_Falcon_XR8_sedan_02.jpg

Where would I go/who could I contact to see about obtaining one?

Thanks in advance! =]

Going by the link you supplied you have an XH XR6/8 front. And the bad news is the lights/indicators for thoseARE STUPIDLY expensive! :(
I'd start by calling as many wreckers as you can find, there is one in Salisbury that specializes in Fords but be buggered if I can remember the name. There is also Athol Park Ford wreckers who are a site sponsor here. ( http://www.fordmods.com/forums.php 4th from the top, has a link to their website)
You could try E-Bay, but they can be hard to find and usually go for well over $100 each from what I've seen. And lastly, keep an eye on the 'For Sale' threads on here, sometimes they show up.
But I honestly think you'll be waiting for a while.

This thread should help when you come to replacing it: http://www.fordmods.com/ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/how-to-replace-indicator-on-95-falcon-ef-t100051.html

Ah ok, great at least now when I phone around looking for a cover I wont have to try and explain the model I have! Thanks! Damn, I figured it would be a little costly to replace =/ but it does need to be replaced asap..and at least I only need one! Tried ebay multiple times with no suck luck, not that I expected to have any. Thanks a lot for your help, will try Athol Park and see if I can locate the one at Salisbury.

XR stuff is as rare as rocking horse s**t and slightly dearer then poison.
Clink the link in my signature and you will find a left hand XR blinker for sale.
