Hey guys,

Have an issue with my low beam lights not working. I can turn the high beams on and all the lights turn on fine but its only when I turn on the low beams that only the little parking lights turn on.

I've checked the 15A fuses for the lights and they're all good. I've also changed the 40A fuse between the high and low beam and still nothing!!!

Has anyone else had this similar issue or knows how to fix it?

Thanks

Did you also check the relay? they have a relay for both high and low beam, if not that then you are looking at a faulty comination switch, a quick trip to an Auto Elect will help.

Yeah did check the Relay too. Sorry by 40A Fuse I meant the Relay. lol

The high beam one works so i swapped it to the low beam and nothing.

Whats the comination switch? Is it something I can test myself? Know where I can find it?

Cheers

the combination switch is the stalk thing that your indicators, wipers etc is on. the one at fault will be the lever that you flick forward and pull back to switch between high and low beam

Is there an easy way to test this? or to fix it?

Or am I looking at spending more money down at the mechanics???

Are you certain your low beam bulbs are not blown?
BA's have a H4 & H3 low/high headlight iirc. When you flick highs, or flash, it only turns on the high beam part of the H4 globe. So what you may think is your low beam working is actually the high beam filament of the H4 globe lighting up.

Top idea! I'll give it a go tonight. Let you know how I go with it.

Cheers

All working! Just changed the H4 globe and works a gem. Feel bit like a spazz over something so simple but live and learn I guess.

Thanks for all the help guys!

No worries. Glad it was an easy fix.
