And your point?????

I was on my Ps, f**k I still am with all the mods in my sig!
I had the car when I was on my reds.
first mods were - superlows, extractors and exhaust.
DONT REGRET IT IN THE SLIGHTEST.

He said he wants a low(ish) car, it will still look like a fourby on lows with 18s!

Springs cost $250 retail, and a wheelo is <$50.
$180 for labour is a touch excessive I would have thought for an hour long job?

Hi,

Have you got the tools to fit them your self?
Most likely dont have the tool to compress the spring, but i cant remember how dad and i did it was over a year ago.

But like you said shop around a bit save your self some money.

You'll Need an impact wrench, so you can take off that middle nut that holds the strut top to the spring and shock, and you'll need spring compressor's so the spring doesn't go fly about's .

Other than that it's just your regular Spanner and Socket set's.

I'd also be inclined to change the Strut Mount Rubber's to Racing Red Nolathane for fast looks, but other than that, meh.

Just make sure your aware of how that strut mount rubber stuff goes back together, it took me
3 attempts to get it right, as I had never lowered a ford before :P.

I knew you had to compress the springs :).

Yer that top bolt will be pretty damn tight, an extra set of hands wouldnt go a stray if your have a mate with a spare weekend.

i got a gas tank and were i play sport has a hell of a spped hump to get over, so i mite take ur advice and just go to a place and tell them to lower it how ever low i want it. thanks mate

Not a problem, i feel all warm and fuzzy knowing ive contributed in some way
my mud flaps are the only things that scrape on speed bumps and alot of ppl take them off so with out them you might get away with super lows need some knowledge from someone that drives with super lows in "everyday" conditions.

P.S No i will NOT take my mudflaps off 8-)

Hey Mate I Have A Ford ef Futura With Super Lows All Around.. with the standard 15's under it. but it doesnt scrape anywhere only the mudflaps which i dont want to take off srape on driveways and speedhumps :D also if you have 18's dont make it superlow i put 17's under mine just to see how the fit and there nearly rubbing so dont do it!! :d thats my advice

I have lows all round, and I scrape a lot. Sometimes my transmission hits some speed humps, especially those little ones in the shopping centre car parks and also my tow bar hits the speed hump during exit with 3 people in the back, at about 20km/hr...

So all in all, with lows all round, it is still more practical then super lows anywhere. I will tell you how it goes if I am towing anything.

Though I do have shortened shocks on the rear (had superlows originally)...

phong =P~

I have super super low king springs in and don't have a lot of trouble with speed bumps but ya learn how big a speedbump u can and can't do which now means I can't go to my fave maccas coz of the driveway haha but really they're not too impractical. My bro has a vz calais with sssl's all round and he eff's his car on a dead mouse on the road I tell ya it effed as don't go lower than ss.

SL with a coil and a half cut out of the fronts, and SL rears re-compressed 60mm :D

must admit, Speed bumps = worst enemy
