Iv recently started looking at mods for my BAGT. first thing i wana do is chuck a new set of springs on there. the tyres are 18/245 with the stock wheels, and i was just wondering if anyone knows if ill need to modify the body. my concern is tha once i go low, the width of the tyre will hit the lip of the guard which goes inward, up underneath. will i need to be visiting a panel beater to have some cutting done before slamming it?

Nah, it'll be fine unless you get the wrong offset or use a too wide rear tyre.
My xr6t is lowered 2inches and has 19x8.5 and 9.5 with 245/35 and 265/30s... no rubbing but its close, I was tossing up between 265 and 275s for the rear and decided on 265 just to be sure and it looks like 275s would have rubbed the guard |
