I'm looking at new shocks and springs as well and have been looking at the options. The reason I started looking was that under the car the other day I gave the suspension rubbers a bit of a poke and they are on the way out as you'd expect after 10yrs.
So it's a new set of nolathan bushes all round so I thought while I'm pulling all that apart may as well put in some 'really nice' suspension. At the moment I've got 'cheap' lowering being Pedders SportsRyder (at least they're 100% better than stock) and make the big boat handle more like a car..

I fitted lovells and kybs to my nf. I have the gas tank problem so i fitted superlows to the front and lows to the rear, this made the car sit even.
The ride was fairly ordinary though, IMO it was to low for every day driving. i have since raised the car about 2 inches all round with low fronts and standard rears and its much better to drive. The sls is obviously disconnected. (check Gallery) The use of Bilstiens with the superlows seems to work better than the kybs from what Daniel has said, try that if you dont mind spending the doe.
