Hi,

I got a the Chrome strip fitted by a panel better when my EL got hit in the back . The guy who fitted it installed it way to high, so i told him to adjust it to where its meant to be, but he just drilled to more holes higher and raised the number plate higher   I told him you should have moved the chrome strip down, not just f**k move the plate up. He told me that the chrome strip doesn't fit properly on GLi's in the right place?? Anyone got any ideas how can i fix this mess up?

the boot on all ef/el falcons minus the fairlane is EXACTLY the same.

it fits fine as i have done it to my gli/futura thing and im sure pltny of other guys/girls have done it to theres as well

i suggest if you paid for it, talk to his boss and whinge whinge whinge whinge and tell them off because thats definately not right. if you drill them fine it will line up a couple mm above your plate and fit the same as the ghia/fairmonts.

fuzion, I had a feeling thought he was talk a load of BS about the boot. If you click on the image, you can see the gap of the plate and the chrome plate, and the actual plate screw area at the bottom of the plate.

Mate take it back and rip s**t out of em the panel beater must be a fn d#ckhead if he thought he could fix it by bringing the number plate up higher. Now they have to weld up holes and start again.

6CYL,

From the pic, it doesn't look *that bad*...but at the same time, the only way to tell is in the flesh. I see you're in Melbourne...if you're really a bit paranoid about it, I have an EL Ghia so if you wanted to meet up or something - lemme know...I'm in Eastern suburbs but also South Melbourne during business hours.

Cheers,
Steve

PS, CAA cruise tomorrow night - come along !

For image hosting place, use this one i know of http://www.glowfoto.com. THe Chrome bar also isn't sitting flush on the boot as the bottom half sticking of the bloody thing
