no, back then, i legitimately like the EL much better than the commodores of the time. The engine was stronger, the interior was far superior and the car looked and drove more refined.
I'm a big fan of several commodores, VN SS Group A, VS Senator 215i, VTII SS/Clubsport, and the VZ Senators are one of the nicest cars on the road. On top of that, from VZ the Holden and HSV by design interiors are much nicer than the ford equivalent.
It's got nothing to do with commodore bashing, i'm not one eyed, for f**k's sake i own a twin turbo toyota...

both cars look good, except for the el-fako drop tank and ricer lights.

i quite like the look of the VS (i realise thats a VR) SS and especially the S. But next to the EL, it does look really bland.

A VS S pack (with bobtail spoiler :D) in dark metallic green and the red stripe is a good looking jigger i reckon

Agree with you there about the interiors. Whenenver I get in a VN - VS Commodore I laugh at how s**t the interior is compared to my EL. I even hate the feel of the doors when you shut them. They just feel so thin and fragile. I also hate how on the commodores the AC vents are integrated into the door trims.

Good Call. Agree with you 100%. I drive both Holden and Ford and dont have a problem with either as shown by this pic.

true some holdens look, i like the older toranas, slr5000(which iv taken on and flogged them, with my aircon on) xu1 torries. even the humble gem gem, my wifes first car was an auto 1.6 gem, which her father put his finger into and damn if it would spin into 2nd doing a brake stand, but the 70's falcs were the best, my wifes father raced them at bathurst. proud of that i am, very, as is she.

i reckon that EL looks pretty nice...the vr is alright, but theres so many better options than whats been done....i have to say the taillights are rancid, and im a holden fan (first car was a torana :P)

however, i must agree that i like the look of el falcons more than that of vr/s commies

your Xr looks really nice and clean. Dont mind the Commodore. it would look even better without a spoiler and original tailights though. Boot install is awesome
