Hi guys! had the front off the BA today & removed those plastic bumper absorbers to do some cleaning & notice rust on both sides! :cry:
Anybody else found rust up front?
Anyway painted it all with rust converter. :x

yeah mate me old mans ba xr8 had $4000 worth of rust in the front end it was in the wheal arches, where yours is and all through the firewall. he was pretty p****d off as it was only 3 years old with 50,000 on the clock when he bought it. thank f**k for ford warrenty.

my AU has holes in the chassis rail from rust.

The rust converter has done the job for now, & have covered the spots in undercoat & painted them.
Suppose I will have to check it again in 12months!

i got rust in my sills, well a nice big hole anyways lol, gotta get some one to bodge it up for me

I bought an XH XR6, ex-business car.
the D*#@ that used it had been doing circlework on the beach. rust all through the sills,

took the tub liner out and there was still wet beach sand in it... wankers.

my cars been on dirt country roads most of its life...

the bits of chassis that are horizontal to the front of the car are all dented and bashed in, and the left sill panel is all rusted under the car.... hasnt shown up on the exterior yet... :?

Man that is rough, rust on a BA. Must be the one upside to living in Canberra, no rust at all in my ED>.
