Looks great, but wasn't FPV introduced on the BA?

On a more serious note, how hard was it to take your "Fairmont" badge off, the one with letters? I'm considering that, I have enough Fairmont "F" badges around to let Ford enthusiasts know that it is a Fairmont.

Ummm let me think...
Yes your right! FPV did start with the BA...
Your a genius... and they gave Einstein the Nobel Prize!?

Does it really matter when FPV came around?
Its not like i have a sticker on my car saying GReddy, Koni or something when i dont have those parts in my car.

Its FPV - Ford Performance Vehicle
Im not telling people i have a supercharged V8 under the hood when i really dont... true?

Its just a symbol which i think looks sleeker than the FTR symbol (Just my opinion)
Otherwise if i liked the FTR symbol i would have used that one

Why does it matter if someone with a Pre-BA uses a FPV symbol?
Its like why use AU rims that have the Pre-AU offset when really that style rim came out on the AU?

Im not havin a go at u buddy or anything just makin a point
If i made a pink & baby blue interior on a gold car then yeah throw everything at me LoL

So ppl should not worry bout the little things that really dont make that much of a difference

but anyway

i bought the car with the badge off
Not too sure about those badges whether they are clipped into the body or if they just have double sided tape on the back

Can anybody answer his question about the fairmont badge?

Im taking my time in doing this coz there is no point to rush now
Honestly i was gettin the car ready for the Ford show which was some time ago now... but the sprayer held me back.
I gave the car to him end of October and he said 3-4weeks

I dunno if anyone else has had this happen to them
It feels like i dont have a car... i have not driven my car in 8 months
(waiting for the violins to start playing lol)

My bro doesnt know how ive stayed so calm through all this... but oh well s**t happens... as long as everything works out ok in the end thats all im looking for now

No doubt it's a beautiful car getting a good treatment. FPV dispute aside, it's good to see someone really taking care of an EF/EL car.

Think we need some interior shots. If you manage to get the whole interior black I'll be very excited. Difficult with things like the air con controls (but easier on the climate control), it would be a big job (to get whole interior black).

well all my buttons in the car are black already (boot releash, fuel tank, door lock, all the climate control buttons, aerial demister & clock/trip computer)
So thats good
the only things im worried about are the air vents
should i use heat tolerant paint? would anything happen to the paint if i have my heater on for extended amounts of time?

here is the interior and exterior that i designed 7 months ago and going through with...

Making dreams a reality, beautiful stuff, lol. Loving that design, hope she pulls through.

Me I'd like a sort of black and cream ensemble or black and something. One day, one day.

LoL

well give me ur address and ill send u some money tree seeds
so u know so far everything has cost me.... (pulls out the calculator)...
about $11,000...

thats new paint work, new front and back windscreens, 2 x Alpine Type R component splits, alpine 4 channel MRV-545, alpine 2 channel amp for my 2 rockford fosgate 10in subs, 18in wheels direct from speedy (helps when ur mum works in the car industry :) ), 4 dunlop tyres, retrimming interior & new BA style steering wheel, new body kit from Bob and new exhaust tip to fit the opening

still gotta get carpet, mats and dash/door trims, which would be the most expensive things left and give the car a full service seeing i havent driven it in 8 months.

Then as soon as i finish this car im saving for a holiday next year
2 months in the USA with 2 mates... mmmm miami... 8-)

either that or buy a house lol

Spectacular mate!
Love the paint and what you have done with the interior.
I am a fan of having an XR kit without the back spoiler like yours, but each to thier own

'Modify YOUR car the way YOU want... Not the way your friends tell you...'
so true!!

That interior looks hot. Saw a similar interior in a BA I think it was a Fairmont Ghia with all the bells and whistles.
