the scoop does help with under bonnet temps, but with the wide opening of the front bar engine bay temps can be really low and the temp gauge never reaches normal. Also stated in a previous post the scoop will feed an induction system which is doing my head in as I have the idea, but I cant get my head around the best way to do it

Ok has of today the bonnet graphics are on hold. I was offered another job with better hours and more money. So with the payout from the current job I will be taking the chance to make changes under the bonnet. I have 2 choices, eother 2 more cylinders or forced induction but due to cost and legalities the v8 is way ahead and looking more likely to happen. So I will be on the hunt soon for a mechaniclly good donor car shortly

i have been slowly working on other things. I am slowly shaping my custom tail lights into a shape i am happy with and I have also started on a gauge holder that will sit on top of the dash like those avalible for ba/bf. The one for my car will be for a gauge and shift light but will be making one to house 2 gauges for my cousin and both will be finished in fibreglass.
My lights (which might have been sold) The gauge and shift light holder |

The EL falcon always looks good with the venom kit. Everything about it was so oversized, and yet somehow it worked.
I always meant to do it to my EL when i had it, just never got around to it.

Buy a car thats already V8, and donate all the goodies from your current car to the new one. If u change V8 you change, T5, Diff, ECU, suspension etc etc. Would be easier IMO. Also with legalities you would have to re-register the I6 as a V8 as Mr Plod just needs to take 1 look under the hood and see an 8 in there and tweety bird gets to perch on your windscreen. |

I have checked the legallities of it and thats why i am looking at a damaged ef/ef or equivelant factory v8 so that all associated can be transferred.

Here are some pics of the trimmed panel. I now need to wait over a week to get the speakers and screen fitted, but have put some grills in to give an idea of the finished look.

Boot lid is now finished except for the screen and speakers to be hooked up to the H/U. All the boot needs now is for me to get more velvet to trim the panel on the false wall.

Yes, it does. Although with the weight I am worried, So I have placed an order for a electric linear actuator that will replace one of the gas boot struts and will allow me to open the boot with a push of a button once the boot relase is pushed

$120 for the actuator and its capable of lifting/pushing 90kg which should be plenty
