Everytime it has been on ebay it has gone well past 3 grand. It wouldnt surprise me that you would be one of those people who follow the trends and judge stuff on how they look

I honestly just dislike this car, but you would get over 3 grand for it!
Why? Because some people do like it!!.. Hard to comprehend for some.

Yeah I dont like it either to be honest, its an abomination. Things like that should be done to commodores...not falcons.

Like it or not, try get all of the body kit, suspension, motor, interior stereo and all the little custom stuff for less the the cost of this car. SSV what almost $800 per bar not fitted, painted or shipped iirc and good luck getting a hold of the side skirts and the boot lid panel cost over a grand on its own. the parts there are mostly name brands so you buy it and respray it and then you dont have to whigne about how I have done the graphics

Mate.

In the end it's worth exactly as much as someone is willing to pay.

Its been a while since I have been on here and the hunt has been on for a very cheap EL wagon. I have lined up someone to do paint, tint, fibre glass and mates to help swap parts over.

The plan is to swap

Motor and box
front brakes
wheels
stereo
some interior parts
bonnet scoop
parts of the exhaust
steering wheel

Other things will be the front and rear bars being modified (the front for looks the rear to make it fit) and possibley modifing the side skirts or fitting later model fairlane skirts and lowering the car an inch or 2 at the front and 2-3 at the back. I also have some custom twin exhaust tips being made for both sides of the rear bar and the possibility of an alloy fuel tank to replace the original one.

So as I said the hunt is on but in 4 days I may have a free car coming into my possesion which may help with the purchase of a wagon or maybe parts for the project.
Time wise this will be on the road asap with rhe majority of the work done prior to getting it on the road

You would easy sell it if you took it back to how it used to look minus the wheels obviously.

I couldnt sell it even with the big wheels, all the in car entertainment gear, spare parts and extra stuff that was purchased but never fully installed

Christ, people say I cant sell it because how it looks, get a clue. This car has been on the market since feb this year in various places and different forums and sites and at varying prices and in 3 different looks, but not once has there been an offer. Whats the point of returning back to all navy blue when people didnt want to pay 4 grand for it back when it was at its best. Its still the same car but with some paint and vinyl slapped on. I am not gonna give the car way in the hope i may find a wagon, so the car will now die and donate some of its major parts to a new project.

yeah... hard to sell a non Ghia EL for more than about 1500....

Better off putting it back to clean factory and selling off all the good bits....

I did that with my EA.. it's earned me a nice penny or two and I've not even sold the car yet...
