Cool... now if I could just catch the guy that bid 4 days early and beat him unconscious.. I might get a bargain.

i wouldnt say you got them for a bargain, $500 is still a fair price though. Wheelmags was selling them on ebay for $700-$800 new.

so 700-800 new with no tyres... I paid $500 for nearly new and four tyres, two of which are nearly new... I consider that pretty good value...

Also, the others I've seen around were 17's, not 18's...

still, I'm happy... and they are shiny which always attracts me.. :-)

i have 2 bald tires and 2 new ones, I can't afford to keep buying them after getting fired, so the rims are going and black stockies are going on.

The rims are in good condition but aren't the best, the front left has some pretty bad gutter rash from early morning driving.

You picked up a bargain i reckon!

the bargain is that you only really paid for 2 new tyres $500 and got the rims for free.

You're paying $1500 for rims + tyres, so why not pay $500 for 4 rims with 2 good tyres?

That's they way I looked at it.. cheapest 18 inch 235's I'd seen were 130ish... so I got two of them, and paid 240 for the rims??? And I got another two tyres that are still borderline legal with 10% tread...

Seems like a good deal to me

My Fairmont has a 10 grand audio/video system and a supercharger.. also an exhaust that makes a racket as it has no real noise suppression ability.. so probably won't hear the tyres at all.. :-)

Hope they grip better than the bridgestones I have now... I take off slower than everone when it's wet because despite being an auto, i can't stop it spinning.. even spins when it changes up to second.. (scared the cr@p out of me the first time that happened as I was doing 65+ when the car started going sideways at the back.)

They grip great in the dry, but wet is terrible.. lottsa fun, but not very safe...
