Hi all,
Just scored these Pre AU 18inch x 8 rims today.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=290278975565 Trying to work out what they are as they don't have allot of markings.. I've taken some better photos then are in the auction. Has two very good 235 tyres, and two kinda thining ones.. 
Anyone know what they are? 1. Pre AU offset. 2. 18 inch. 3. Shiny/polished unlike factory ford rims. 4. I've instantly gotten very fond of them.. 5. I think 500 bucks is a pretty good price, am I right? I think I saw a logo like JW or something on the inside.. but googling that didn't get me anywhere. rgds Frank |

im pretty sure they look like copies of rims that came out on one of the ba/bf variants. i cant recall which variant though maybe someone will know

BA XR8 Tickford copies i have a set on my LTD. I wouldn't have a clue who actually makes them. i seen them brand new on ebay for about $800 without tyres, i brought mine about a year ago from a fm member for $700 with tyres about 50% tread

Cool, I have to buy a set of lock nuts to stop some low life stealing them and not sure which ones to buy.. hence the question..

I guess I did get a bargain than... thought maybe I did... anyone know what lock nuts will fit these things?? the normal nuts for them are long buggars.

they're the 18" options on the BA XR series, quite often dubbed "BA XR8 Wheels" but were also available on the XR6 Turbo as well.
good score for $500, what tyres are on them? they look like Triangles...

just use the long wheel nuts with the tappered end they use on the ef/el fairmont rims, thats all i used brought them from the wreckers 50c each. not sure on the lock nuts... u will have to get a spark plug socket to use on the wheel nuts as the normal wheel brace won't fit in the holes.....

just didn't get any lock nuts... so looking for a match |

LOL.... Mr Tezza,
Those are the exact same ones I pasted in here earlier... (same auction I mean) great minds..... Mr Man... the tyres are indeed Triangles.. I've never heard of them before... |
