id say it would be the price factor, there alot cheaper then the bigger brands specialy in the larger sizes, bridgestone for instance there 19 inch tyres ( largest for passenger untill the new commodore come out) retail for just under a grand each, from memory they were $930 and 960 or something around there where as a mate of mine got a couple nankangs for 350 all up, its a big difference on such a large tyre where you wouldnt get to many k's out of either brand
you just need to makesure that the preassure is up around 40psi otherwise it will be like your driving with 4 flat tyres (tyrewise it will chew out the rubber inside the tyre)

265/35 18's on the Lane...bit noiser than most, stick fairly well and by far the best value...$195 for a 265 was unbeatable around here !! Plus the NS-II is one of the better looking patterns !

i use nankang 235/40/r18, and without doing burnouts and s**t like that, they have lasted me about a year and a half. very little road noise, excellent traction, especially in the wet.

i got 235/45 R17 firestone WIDEOVALs on the front an 235/45 R17 bridgestone RE030s on the back, good grip allround with the firestones an the bridgestones i dont see a probablem with as my car doesnt really get to break traction all that much (sad auto) but conering is lovely with some suspension

The wifes AU has Nankangs NS II 245/40/18 and I would have to agree that they are a little noisier than others but they do wear well.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. |

I've been happy with the few sets I've had (I've had Goodyear Eagle F1s before, and some Bridgestones).
I also know of a Caprice pulling 11's on 265 wide Nankang NS2s.
