Okay thanks for all the help guys it was much appreciated! Got the new globes in now and they are all working and yeah even adjusted them a bit. :D Happy happy happy :P Yeah it wasnt that hard..... who was the one who said it wasnt going to be easy huh... :?

LOL yeah.. the globes i have in the XR now are Narva 50 Plus's these are the same specs as a stock globe (55w 12v P14.5's ) however have been designed to give a 50% brighter light and add 20m more distance! I would prolly say a globe such as this is more suited to my driving, rather than the pretty arctic blues!

Thanks again!!

Okay tested the new globes out the other night and i must say that they are excellent for night driving! Bad thing is thou that they dont brighten up the roads indicators like the Arctic blues would, buuuut they produce a much larger area of light.

I probally should adjust them a bit, but yeah very happy with changing over to these. I miss my white light thou!! it looked cool :?

I found the u pgrade to the Phillips 'Blue Vision' did increase night time vision, as well as being nice and white. Maybe that's why they're more expensive, 'cake and eat it too' type deal.

Note: I also make extensive use of the compact flurescent lights at home, I love the whiter light. Longer life and lower electricity usage is good too.

Yeah i got one of those fluro lights in my room as well! Yeah well the philips blue vissions are alot more powerful than the narvas arent they?

Arent they something like 4000k comapred to about 3200K from most other globes? I went and got the blue visions, was gonna get them installed then found out i got the wrong type!!! H3 and i needed H1's and yeah the bastards at autobarn wouldnt take em back so yeah.

Some lucky dude just got them off of me for $25 thou Brand new never used blue visions!!! Hmm i have had them for about 9 months thou.

Yeah happy with the 50 plus globes thou :)

Yeah the Blue Vision = 4000K.

H3 would've gone in your highs? or are the XR lows and highs the same bulb?

$25 was a good deal (for them)!

i went one step above the blue vision and got the crystal vision. i was coming from narva +50s and the difference in light output was scary.. the blue visions are a much nicer colour and light up signs great, but in wet weather they tend to get pretty lost.

Yeah i would tend to agree with that, in rainy conditions the blue visions/arctic blues arent much cop at all imo.

Yeah H3's for the high beam and H1's for lows with the XR headlights, how ever in saying that the high beams in my Xr are absolutely beautiful!! excellent distance and very bright, no way i would put blue visions in replacement to them :)

nah i certianley wouldnt put crystal/blue visions in my highs, they are about the only way i justify to myself keeping the crystals in there. that and the price i paid for them
