why would you bother polishing a cad plated mild steel fuel rail ! ? it's like saying yer atmosphere please oxidise a hole in my presurised volatile fuel storage area.

I actually wouldnt have a clue as i probably wouldnt do it myself, but as soon as i saw the engine bay pic, the fuel rail stood out as there was no BBM.. I guess it would look just as good in a gloss paint colour coded as you said

There was someone on here who was selling a polished fuel rail a long time ago, not sure if it was clear coated though, and it looked bloody tops

yer like pollishd ally, looks horn untill it gets hit by a full week(mayhaps more depending on polish job) of normal temp operation.

if you like the look get it chromed, i'd chrome absolutely everything bar the hoses in my engine bay and then i'd be callling enzed to fix up my braided hoses,

i love shiny stuff :D

Just had a quick look in your gallery and saw the engine bay..

First thing came to mind was.. Paint the rocker cover
Second thing.. Polish the fuel rail

Then just give the engine a bit of a clean up with degreaser, spray the airbox and snorkel and any other plastic parts that would look good in a black gloss and it should be looking sweet

If you can afford it and you want to, HPC the headers or just coat them in a high temp header paint

i did give the headers a quick coat of black high temp as they were damaged from the wankers that made the delievery orgainised by JMM, but the paintits faded a fiar bit will do again properly when i get round to it.

I plan to do some minor engine work,i ve got the JMM dev2 kit which is basicly the full exhaust cat headers plus intake mods. they say after thats done go for a cam.

I would paint the rocket but i would like to get a xr6 one with the tickford mark on it, but then again i dont know if i want to;

A.
try put a AU engine in it because they have a strong bottom end

B.
put the head and bmm off a el with the el computer on my stock ed engine
i just remembered dad has a i think ef (pics in gallery) ex cab it will still have the computer in it,
dont know if it gets changed when they do gas conversion or anything

C.
put full el xr6 engine and computer ect in

im on the market for a 3:45 diff in atleast QLD so many are in vic

Dads a mechanic of over 20 years so we can do alot of labour, but we dont really have a work shed yet. dad tells me "its on the list of things to do" and this list is real i saw it its nearly 2 pages long-_- with shed about a 3rd down first page :P

B4 alll this id be best to get a new shell as the sills have really bad rust on both side at one point on passenger side it goes all the way through about size of 10c peice  but aye i got the car for $400 8-)

im looking at a 94 fairmont non ghia but its an 18hour drive and i dont want to be a loner driving there and back and dad is hell busy plus doesnt want to come :x i want his lancruiser to tow it back 8-)
