hi i just bought a new boot lid today cause i didnt want my spoiler.

didnt get a key with the new one as he only had the one key

just wondering if anyone can walk me through changing over my old one with the wiring an all that.

also my old one had a spoiler , with the brake light on it.. just wondering what goes on with the wiring an that on the new one which doesnt have a spoiler

Sure, undo both, remove both, swap over and refit (only one!)

Have a look at it, its one of the simplest things to do.

As for the spoiler light, it connects at the RHS hinge, plug the new bootlid on the loom.

If your OLD bootlid wiring was butchered, cut each wire at slightly different lengths, and use a good electrical tape (nitto) to insulate.
But honestly, theres no excuse to leave any non used wires.

ok thanks, with the lock i need to change it from mine to the new one.


aswell as the auto boot release wire.

can u just unclip the cables going to the lock itself

ok, i no what to do now just gota disconect the old lock and put it on the boot lid, removing the plugs that activate the electronic release.

the only thing is, that there are a red and black wire that run to the spoiler light, am i able to jus cut these an tape them up an will that be fine?


is there a easy way to remove the loom cuz its fkn stuck pretty hard?


and with the key lock i need to change them over. whats the best way to remove this...

sorry to seem like im spamming this post, but i decided to do it now an thouht id get it done but i gota go work soon.

im ok with everything now, just need to work out what to do with the brake light cables (red, black)

and i cant get the dam loom out of the socket of the main lock mechanism is there a easy way to remove it/?
