Hey y'all,

Just wondering if anyone had an opinion on the best globes to fit to my el ghia (H3?).

Should I buy yellow (standard) or blue globes?

Can i increase the wattage?

Thanks.

General opinion is keep to the standard wattage as these lights are prone to yellowing for a number of reasons, but just to be safe.

any aftermarket globe will be better than the standards. I bought some "bright white" globes from super cheap for 25 bucks, and fitted one side only to compare and the difference was huge.

But having said that, the headlights at night are still shocking

HIDs are illegal!! unless you retrofit a manufacturers HID kit to your car complete with auto levelling and washers.

BUT having said that ive had HIDs on my car for the last 4.5yrs or so and they are brilliant!

Narva or Phillips make plus 50 in H3s for about 50bux. up to 50% more light on the road, or so they say, with the same wattage.

Don't go for 90/100. Never!

Ultra white or similar give better light and do not use more current or damage your lights.

Also if the lens are yellowed, find the tech on how to polish them.
