Are they actually a 3 peice wheel? All the 3 peiuce wheels I can recall seeing have the bolts all around the rim - were yours in the picture don't have them were the spokes are.

Brand/model are they?

I assume second hand based on the price.

yes they're genuine 3 peice wheels.
The back of the spoke has 3 bolts going into them.

I can't remember the brand, i need to look at the sticker on the inside of the rim, the model was just called "A-Dish"

yeah second hand.

different outers/inner/centres can be used to make various different wheels.
can make them wider, thinner, look different.
a lot of its wank as most people will never change but also means you can get spare parts if 1 gets damaged.

generally they're pretty expensive though.

this is the same car as the one in my gallery, it simply doesn't have the bodykit on it at the moment
The kit was taken off for some repairs and modifications.

They're a lot more expensive - generally start at about $500 a wheel for 17" and they increase for larger wheel diamter and wider wheels, so a 19" diameter wheel with 10" width in a chrome finish is probably around a grand per corner.
1 big advantage with them is they are custom made in the sizing and finish you want - great for vehicles with uncommon offsets as these are easily made.
Also, later on you can change the widths and that - but most people probably don't bother.
As mentioned above there a lot easier to damage, as the wheels comes apart in 3 peices, so particular peices can just be replaced. Also the rims are rolled alloy - which is easier to bend, but at the same times easier to repair.
I've been told they're generally lighter wheels as well compared to cast alloy wheels.

Check out Simmons wheels and ROH Custom Modular wheels - they're Australia's two biggest manufacturers of them.

By the way - it must be the week for buying 3 peice wheels - I picked up a set of Simmons FR18's the other day...

Good to hear - that's an extremely good pick up then at that price! I assume it's an imported brand then?

FR18's ey...
fantastic, you can get some measurements for me :)
I want to know if the AJR and Simmons outers are interchangable.

Rumour is they are but havnt been able to confirm.
i've got some 18" AJR's and i know they have the same amount of bolts/studs around them but need to confirm the spacing and cross diametre.
