Ok guys...Further to previous posts ....Here's the current plans...Now I want your honest opinion whether this is going over the top..,. look great or stupid....wanky or cool.

Now heres a pic of my car as you've seen it before (i.e in its current form). Falcon BA Classic , bought new in Sept 2004...now done 57.000 kms in Shockwave with Dark Grey interior.

Here's what I think I'm gonna do in this order:

1. Add 18" Chrome Sabers with either 235 or 245 rubber (any suggestions here?)

2. Lower to standard XR height (Kings Lows) or lower ...maybe !!

3. F6 Typhoon Body Kit (except the boot wing...I'm gonna keep the original XR style wing)

4. Colour coded side strips and mirror casings

5. White striping (GT Style) but without GT lettering (this is a debatable add on as I think this could look wanky ....please feel free to comment)

6. Possible Fairmont rear licence plate garnish

7. Possible XR steering wheel and premium sound

Note: they'll be no Typhoon badging or change to the bonnet

OK guys let it rip....am I doing the right thing here...and don't be afraid to be critical....need your honest opinion

Pete

Based purely on looks, I'd do 5 things to it.

1: 19" GT-P rims.
2: Slam it!
3: Colour code the bumpers.
4: Tint, reeal dark.
5: Remove spoiler.

But, this is your car, not mine.

You do what makes you ahppy mate. Don't worry about what other people think/say. As long as you are happy with how it's progressing, that's all that matters :)

Oh, and have fun!!

The bumpers are colour coded.

20" rims, shadow chrome perhaps? :D

I love the GTP bodykits, BF front bar, BA rear bar though, then you would have to go with a quad tip setup.
I dont like the xr spoilers, too low, the BF GTP spoiler looks sweet though.

My opinion...
- Full F6 Typhoon Kit, rear wing and all
- 19" GT-P rims
- Get some nice looking brakes to go behind the sexy wheels
- Then go all out on the stereo :D
I LOVE the F6 Typhoons... next best thing is a look-alike :P

Forgot to add... I like the BA better than the BF... Something about the BF doesn't look as good. And go lower than XR height. I got superlows and that's nice... any lower looks stupid and overdone... however, mine is an EF

some 20'' rims like GlennBA's BA rims look nice,
then some king superlows,
F6 bodykit minus spoiler,
very dark tint,
BF tail lights (they have the jeweled lenses and look quite stylish)

but in the end its all up to you. have fun!

1. Niceset of wheels - 5 or 6 spokes, silve, but not crhome.

2. Lower it past XR hight - super low!

3. No body kit - ditch the spoiler to.

4. Definately colour coded side strips and mirror casings

5. Avoid any gay poofter stripes.

6. Definately Fairmont rear licence plate garnish

7. Definately XR steering wheel and premium sound

Well, i'll start with a quote:

"Built not bought"

Thats what a damn good friend of mine used to say, and probably still does.

I reckon 1, 2, 3 and 4 are the go, i dont like the white striping, 6 maybe if you like it (i do) 7 definetly, get matching gear knob and hand brake.

I'd personally be looking at engine work, maybe a supercharger. then onto the body and look of the car. Create a nice sleeper! maybe.

End of the day, make it a personal work of art. let the car reflect you and your attitude toward the car. if you love her more than ya mrs garnish her with diamonds. if not lock her in the garage and treat her as 2nd best. :D

don't get sabres, everyone has them, and there not all that good looking anyway, shadow crome is your best bet, with planty of dish. 18-19inch as you still want some control, you just have to find them first, i looked for awhile but couldn't find the ones i wanted, but i ended up with a better rim. the ride hight, get super lows with shocks to match, this will look alot better. get your body kit and away you go, maybe even a sray paint, just something different.
in the end, it's you car.
Acidic

Mate i'd do everything you've said.. except maybe not the stripes.. and definately not XHP sabres in 18". They're tacky and heaps common imo.

I agree with GlennBA. No stripes and not the 18's... Everything else sounds sick... My advice... just start at No.1 and see where you end up in 6 months :D
