Hey all,
I was wanting some opinions on the new badges i have put on my car. At first i really liked them but im starting to wonder. The one on the rear is very stylish and covers the holes left from the original falcon badge. Its going to stay i think. The one on the side quater is a different story... The repeater hole is also giving me headaches too. I was just thinking of Q-Bonding some thin steel sheet on the hole inside the guard to give a backing and bog and sprayig over it... someone has told me though This may bring on "electrolisis" and cause rust down the track? I dont know. Construstive critisism most welcome lol. Good to be part of the forums too (first post). Woody.

Are you planing on changing the repeater to a different one? I doubt it would be legal to remove it entirely.
As for filling the hole, it would be best to have someone weld in a piece of steel using a mig, then grinding it flat, fiberfill it on the outside, sand flat, then boging over that, more sanding. Failing that, clean up the inside of the guard, fiberglass the hole on the inside. Then fill it as above on the outside.

Don't remove the repeater lights as this makes the vehicle UNROADWORTHY and can cause the local law lads to give you a ticket

will the au clear side indicators completely cover the hole? the hole is about 6cm x 4cm.
i saw some N14 pulsar ones that could be a good fit but they are amber in colour . ill go to the wreckes this week and test me theory. |

I have tryed the AU blinker and I am pretty sure they are to small to cover the hole. I made this polished 5mm alloy plate cut to fit in the ford mould and then fitted BA-BF side indicators.

yeah AU ones wont cover the hole completly (dissapointed) tried it this arvo.
Its come down to getting it welded up or finding a blinker that covers the hole (that also looks ok) |
