Personally if possible I owuld leave it a couple of weeks before sanding and buffing for the paint to cure properly , sink back if its going to and for the thinners to bleed out of the paint.

As Matt has said, leave it as long as possible before buffing to allow the clear to cure, if possible park the car in the sun, not raging heat, and it will help it along.

After a shaky start you have come out on top, very neat looking job. Well done.

lol, thanks heaps for the advice guys, greatly appreciated.
Thats last comment of yours reminds me abit of cricket (Tendulkar and Ponting), they're both usually shaky at the start of their innings but once they settle, beware. lol :)

Thanks soo much for your hlep Scott its greatly appreciated mate. :)

I painted the shell today and noticed that I had some pimples popp up all over the car, on both rear quarter panels and on the boot.
Some panels arent that bad but some are poppin out bad and it feels rought when touching it.. It also looks dull, unlike when i painted the roof.

Its kinda got me worried but I will be sanding/buffing it hoping it comes out like my roof?

I have attached pics below for you guys to see.

BTW, i used the same mixtures when I painted the roof..

Isnt the cause of the probs above caused by excessive air pressure at the gun??

nah i mean the air screw on the gun... Id say either someones changed your air setting on the gun or its a contaminant from not cleaning with prepsol. Metho leaves oily film so you cant use it to clean panels before ya spray. I dunno if shellite would work, Id say probably no.

hmm interesting, no one touched my gun and everything was the done and left the same as when i painted my roof and that came out ok? But anyway, ill sand away in the morning hoping that this solves the issue cause i really dont want to start all over again. lol

thanks.

that is the cause of water passing through the hose and out the gun. even with water traps they still do it on hot days. drain the compressor as offen as you can on hot days, if 30dg or above just sit back and watch the grass grow...lol don't even worry about picking the gun up.. oh and with acyl leave it for at least a month before buff back, with 2k it's different as it has harderner to set the clear off.
