yeah your right Mr Fairmont. Though since Glare zero and the other products didn't move the peel too much, I reckon the peel is in the colour coats not the clear.

So unfixable unless you want to reclear after sanding

Thanks everyone, I've got some good shots of the X5, 8 hours later and the paint is glassy and wet with no swirl marks.

Well what I did on that BMW was a full paint correction on a well cared for vehicle with moderate flaws

That was $350 including leather conditioning, wheels clayed, polished and coated with toughseal plus the paint correction and one coat of sealant

A full correction on a car with heavy swirls, scratches and marks is $400 to 600 not including any interior work.
The paint, glass and wheels are washed, clayed, pre polishing cleaning of the paint pores and a three to five stage machine cut and polish plus up to two coats of paint sealant on all three surfaces

Eight to sixteen hours is needed to do a show car quality paint correction. three to four minutes per 2 x 2 foot section with up to five polishes

Lots of money, a long time between dropping off and picking up the car but it's worth it and the results outlast anyone else and are higher quality

Your not kidding. Its just a shame that the bonnet has so many chips in it and it's not a nicer colour

This was the process
Clay, toughseal step 1 by rotary
Prepsol
Menzerna Powergloss with foamed wool pad
Prima Cut with yellow foam
Menzerna PO91L with orange foam
Menzerna 85RD with white
Menzerna 106FF with black
Prima Amigo by hand

There is a place in melbourne called Protech car care. They are located in bayswater.
I had my car done last weekend, paint was wrecked. A mate of mine works there and did a quick job for me and it came up HEAPS better. Said he woulda spent heaps more time if it was a customers car.
Give them a buzz for prices and stuff if your interested.
