ok, ive recently sprayed my Xe falcon Blood orange. I did about 3-4 layers of clear and it did bring the colour out more an made it a little bit shiny. Im in the process of getting it buffed, but befor i do i was wondering if buffing would make it shiny? if so how does buffing work exactly?
any info would be good

Cheers

yeah the buffings hould make a difference. it will prolly make the paint heaps smoother and give it a shine. im not sure how the buffer does this but it does.
then whack a few coats of good plish on the paint to make the shine last

If your paint isn't shiny after a respray, chances are you have "orange peel". The finish isn't smooth so buffing with a quality cutting compound will rub back the high points and effectivly smooth out the paint, leaving you with a nice shiny car.

After cutting you need to polish the car with a quality glaze to seal the paint.

Exactly, you need to be very careful using cutting compound, particularly near edges as it is possible to burn the paint.
