g-day all, i got a little creative today and inbetween rain showers i managed to paint one of my rims up...

what it looked like on the PPG before (stock form)

i then cleaned them from all the brake dust and grime and taped it up - took about 1 hour to get it just right and smooth

i tried to remove the tape smoothly so i could reuse it but it didnt work...

here is the outcome, i think it brings the front out nicely...

Striker didnt like the new look, but i love the new look... the front will be polished up tomorrow altho the front of this one looks painted where as the others 3 (spare is stuffed) looks almost polished so im looking out for a new rim...

Looks more modern now somewhat. Wouldn't mind seeing them all done on the car, well at least 2 on the same side 8-)

believe it or not, it was that $3 paint from supercheap in mechinery grey, its quite thick, it only has 3 coats and is very thick and glossy...

the reason i used grey is because i thorght that black would look too much of a back yard job, where as i wanted a neat unique look and i didnt want the colour to take over the look if you know what i mean, i will finish off the other rims today and post a pic asap

thanks for the great comments, so far there is only on person who hasnt really liked them so im happy :D

sorry for the glare in some of the pics, its a cheap ebay job and likes to put glare on everything that isnt black...

the front rim needs more cleaning up as i painted it a different way which ended up being a crap way, the bumper was off as it was getting painted (from full 'GL' spec grey to colour coded ready for the fitment of the bodykit next week
