hey guys in doing a full rebuild on my engine and gear box soon and i decided to paint my engine bay when i do it. i was looking a doing it black. factory its green same as the car. has anyone changed there engine bay colour to black im not sure were i will start the black from around the quarter panels and front bumper and help and pics would help a lot

there has been a few street machine cars with black engine bays, how good are your skills at spraying? i think a black fade would look good

ill get a mate to paint it im just doing all the prep but its the lines that im worried about were to start the black

only thing i can suggest is possible photoshop it or start low and work you way up till you happy with where the colours meet

Hey there, this is my engine bay.
 I sanded it back with just 500grit then primed then painted, i did the whole front end as as much as you would see when looking in the bay. My bay isn't that great was painted in a carport but will be redone. This is the bay with the motor in just after the respray on the outside.  Just to show you what black can look like, but if it was done in a better location would've come out 100 times better |
