Im rplacing the left hand side sill and rear quater panel on my ef xr6. anyone got any tips

ok here is what i would do and may not be everyones opinion
1. cut out the sill of the car to be repaired 2. inspect the inner sill in case there is rust and you need more of the donor car 3. wirebrush the inner sill and surrounding areas with a wire brush. 4. treat the inner gaurd and surrounding areas with rust converter and follows the instructions 5. paint the inner sill and surrounding areas 6. cut out the required panel out of the donor car with a bit of excess steel 7. trim the repair panel down to size 8. give the inside of the repair panel a coat of paint 9. remove the paint away from the edges to be welded 10mm will do 10. weld the panel in 11. finish of the panel accordingly with paint spray some fish oil into the cavaties of your car as it will help prevent rust in the future once again this is how i would do it personally cheers bear |

you could lap the steel use rivets level them off with a hammer and then boddy filler
