hey guys, just looking for some tips on how to aline my doors on my el, the drivers door doesn't close flush with the body and i havea feeling the driver side passenger door is too far back causing it to hit against the c pillar as it's scuffed where the door would be hitting i prusume

Use a ruler and a spirit level. Cheap at bunnings. Once the doors are aligned tac weld them in place.

smart a***, i think the holes in the door or the lock on the body need to be elongated

fixed it the part that the door latched to as lose, so pushed it back as far as possible and tightened it up and the door now shuts flush hoepfully no wind noise anymore

mitchell g wrote: smart a***, i think the holes in the door or the lock on the body need to be elongated are the hinges boltes or welded to the body ,and is the top hinge pin worn,grab the bottom of the door and lift,any play?if bolted on loosen the top hinge bolts to body and lift,tighten.repeat until you get it,bottom will slide over the same.a little bit on hinges is a lot on the door,have fun.its easier with the guards off on a full respray.

nah it's fixed now this was lose so i had to push it back and tighten it up
