Can anyone recommend @ Perth (SOR) spraypainter? Stone chips on the front bumper,(numerous!!) & somebody has chipped the paint on the rear bumper  Iwould prefer someone who does not leave my car parked out in the middle of an industrial complex, with the keys in the ignition, windows down, & buffing compound all through my interior!!!

Nah, no dents, just looks like the whole front bar has been sandblasted, the rear bar has been chipped, but no dents. I would prefer to look after the "BOOBY "Angel while you look after my car!!! :D Would that be possible?

if u can find the angel no worries :) but her twin is mine :P

also i dont have much space i can do them panel by panel

and need to find a place that will hire a spraybooth out
doing the prep work at home is easy as the primer is sanded back smooth before paint

as the only issue i have with uglys bonnet is the dust in it :(

srpayed it twice as well!

Both sprayshops I have been to, state both front & rear bars will have to removed, prepped, rubbed & painted & into the oven they go.Navy Blue metallic, with pearl in it? The grey accents wiil have to be rubbed back & repainted. It will be a 2 man job for at least 2 days, plus oven charges!!! :(

Give Macri Spray Painters in maddington a call.

tack cloth not needed

it is the spray booth that is importatn

also a common misconception is that the paint needs to be "cooked"
in the oven to set it

all this does is speed up the drying time of the solvents in the paint
which is needed for a spray shop as u dont want parts sitting for 2days or so waiting for the paint to cure

the bonnet above was painted at hom and the paint has set
the msds tell u how long it takes for the paint to cure and at what temps :)

the prep would be the rub down of the paint
aplication of a plastic specific primer
then painted and cleared

OK, I won't name names. One shop full of the "darkside" cars quoted me (verbally?) $1000 & one week to do the work, but cannot do the job before end of January. The other shop, which had both darkside & rightside vehicles including show cars, & does full vehicle resto's, quoted me $600 & will match the side skirts & grey accents as well. He also asked if I could supply the correct paint code/part numbers for the correct products to use in the accents. His time needed to do the job is only 3 days? His quote too was only verbal, when I mentioned I pay in folding green stuff, he just laughed & suggested he may not take cash!!! I will get a couple more quotes & see how I go

yea is strange. i got turned back for cash discounts at a wreckers last week. needless to say i went to another wreckers. but yea for paint shops i would not reccomend a certain shop in maddington that advertises in the quokka. the ad says they will beat any quote on painting work, and its a one man show in alloa st i think? the name of the place escapes me for now. they painted only half my bumper with a 2nd coat, and a mate had a car in there, they painted over masking tape they had on the lights and over his clear tail lights! would definantly recommend rabor smash in kelmscott, professional all the way.
