hi all,

i want to remove the pin stripe that goes across the car, anyone know of a real nice affective way of removing the stuff without damaging the paint work?

it is easy just use a hair dryer just warm it up slowly and peal it off it ''does work''

Hair dryer on high removes lettering no reason it wouldn't remove pinstripping.
Clean off residue with Eucalypus Oil or Soft cloth Warm soapy water and good old fashioned elbow grease.

after u remove da stripe are u goin to fill it with somethin? I've thought about doin it to my white ED but im not sure... Think it will look crap with the indent. But maybe if i filled it with putty or something? But then i wood need to get the whole car resprayed woodnt i?

i think your thinking of the rubber moulding that goes around the car not the pin strip.

pin striping is usually a small *size varies* stripe along the horizontal lines of the car in various colours gives the car lines so to speak.

not the body moulding plastic that runs along the outer most part of the car where it protects your car from bangs and scratches

someone might of said this. but the strips identifies the model of car, but some strips are asking to be peeled off. lol holden ones..
