Apparently EBII onwards have resin filled A/B pillars. Has anyone heard of this resin cracking and making noise? I have an A-pillar noise that started as a squeek and has turned into a click/cracking noise. Its not trim, it changed to the click when I tweaked the spotwelded ridge so I had it re-spotwelded with no joy! I'll probly try the ridge under the windscreen but that means removing the windscreen. I hope someone can help with this as its been driving me nuts for 7years now! To the point that if I cant find it, I'll sell it!

My a pillar makes a squeek noise down the bottom near the windscreen on the drivers side.
But its a eb1. It stops when I push the plastic up against the pillar. Im 80%sure in my case its a broken clip from when the roof lining was re glued. As most of the clips the whole way around are hanging down. That or the 15" I had snapped em. It snapped my garnish mounts. Lol. Good luck finding it. |

Ok, so I did end up selling it, and this was one of the reasons for sale. I then bought the EBXR8 that I've had for a couple of months now and very annoyingly the pillar has just started to creak! I havnt checked if its just trim yet, but pushing on the trim doesnt help. If its the same prob again I have to assume the prob is me!? What am I doing wrong? All I can think of is hitting my driveway(rolled gutters) right wheel first all the time when I think most cars would favour the left(being we drive on the left). And I assume this would tweak or twist the body the other way.......maybe. I do wonder if a strut brace could help tho
