That was just my experience, Silicone spray may have help for some others, but it did nothing to help my windows, and was not recommended by a mate who works for ford.[/quote] Im sorry but i dont think ford really know s**t all when it comes to most of their cars, i mean some definetely know their stuff, but some are a joke lol! You will fond also that the silicon spray isnt going to stay wet so who ever said its not meant to operate i wet conditions like that must be a lil confused, it dries dry VERY fast and leaves a smooth finish with much less friction, just run your fingers over it. I know for sure its not the proper fix but if your windows dont tilt forward or dont tilt much and you cbf fixing it yet, it will get you thru till you get it looked to properly! Also yes, if you dont fix it you will eventually be up for new window motors in most cases, so dont put it off unless you can live without windows My best suggestion is if its going up slowish, clean it n spray it. If it tilts and almost gets stuck you have a problem and you should remove the trims and adjust accordingly. EL glass is thinker then EF glass yet uses the same bailey channel for the windows to slide in, is it that much of a suprise that the windows may need to be cleaned and lubed once in a blue moon for them to continue to operate good as new? - i dont think so.

I had a problem window for 12 months before a mate told me about SILICONE SPRAY and immediately it was fixed and I havent' had any more window going up or down problems for the past 3 years . So anyone with hard to power up or wind up, definately buy SILICONE SPRAY

That sounds like there is something mechanical going on there. Does it make noise when you try to wind it down? If there is no noise then the motor is stuffed or something similar.. But im guessing there is something obstructing it. Take the door trim off and have a closer look.

Wow that stuff looks to be the go then hey. I put a bit of RP7 through mine and made a minor improvement.
Looks like I'm gonna have to get some of this spray. I heard Vasoline works too so might try that first

Yeah na works heaps better now, okay insted of the drivers side being the fastest to wind up/down. Both the front windows are just about equally as good!
But yeah thats how good mine worked I couldnt belive it! I usually sit there for ages waiting for the stupid window to wind up. But yeah now it works like it should of been doing.

Sounds encouraging.
The RP7 I put on only made a slight difference - I am now back to having to pull the passenger window past the halfway point before it goes all the way up . Driver's side is alright though. Hopefully this stuff can fix it. Must get some when I have some spare time.

LOL im so glad i dont have 4 electric windows (what a b**ch that would be!) its bad enough trying to keep 2 in good working order.
So yeah go get some of the silicone spray for under $20 its not a bad investment.

RP7 will make your car stink and wont last long at all, as SILICONE spray is more a Rubber/Plastic spray as it impregnates it completely.
