Flat out you are an idiot if you get some.
Imagine hitting a Porsche, how long will it take for you to pay off the 100,000 bucks worth of car because you cheeped out and got spacers. Unlikely I know but seriously it might happen. You insurance wont cover you, simple as that.

Flat out, your an idiot. Full stop.

You'll only get f**k over if the spacer fails and causes the accident, ie wheel falls the f**k off when turning and you clean up 11ty people.

HA! Do you really believe that?

A mate got done when he hit a roo and he didn't tell his insurers that he had an aftermarket Cam and extractors installed...

Anything they can get you with they will, they are a business and are there to make money. Its that simple.

Did they cause him to crash? by speeding? lost control because of too much power?

I'm speaking from experience, I had an accident and I wasnt at fault. My insurance company was not informed I had extractors, exhaust, intake, cam, chip, lowered, rims, spacers etc.
No problem.

Nope, He was going 100 on his way home and hit a roo. It depends who your with and who your assessor is. But is it worth giving them anything to f**k you over with?

the only thing DANGEROUS about adaptors is the wankers that put them on with the wrong nuts or people using adaptors with the wrong studs or just plain cheap crap.

they can be engineered and be completely legal, this might be state dependant.

and if CAMS say my adaptors are safe for me to use for track work then i cant see how normal road use will hurt them or make them dangerous.

i agree with both sides of the insurance argument. sometimes you will get away with them when having the car assessed and sometimes you will get unlucky and they notice them and might not pay out.
