The wings on an EA were put on by Ford to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Falcon. Not by tacky owners.
Red wings on 'S'pac, chrome on GLi.

You mean as in a bird, well they have wings!
They can be mistake as Tickford wings, particularly the red ones

yes as in the bird. a little bird with wings and tail feathers pointing downwards.
at first glance they can be mistaken as tickford wings i suppose.
