Hi,
I am just writing to ask is it possible to put a rear wiper an on e-series sedan. Has anyone actually done or attempted this and how easy was it to install?

I got the button and contemplated putting a wiper ON, but not installing it to give the illusion it was there.

If you really want to go, maybe the loom from the wreckers, maybe somehting to do witht he BEM as well would need doing.

Just curious, why would you want to?

I have just bought this car after owning a pulsar hatchback that had one. I used it a fair bit and thought that a rear wiper would be something useful to have.
The other reason why I asked is that my friend is wrecking a skyline and this is one of the few parts left.

actually I think it is a good idea, I used to have a corona hatch back which had about the same slant rear window the falcons have. I found it very handy having a rear wiper sometimes.

It would be a pretty cool mod if you could make it look factory but I'm not sure how you would do it. Wiper arm located at the bottom or the top of the window?

wiper arm would have to be located at the top cause the boot meets the window on all models...
I also think they are a good idea, but installing it aftermarket would be far to big a job for backyard mechanics and you would just get laughed at if you talked to a panel beater about doing it.

exactly - theres no point where you could mount a wiper arm at all - but it'd look stupid i reckon mounted at the top :?

You could always try and shoe-horn a laser mechanism into it, with a hole drilled into the window (!?).

I like the idea - I liked it on the skylines. Just not sure it would really work on a falcon.

Of course its not so much of an issue up here - I cant remember the last time I needed to use the demister.

Cheers

Top otherwise it interfeeres with the brake light and would beocme unroadworthy.

I think its a good idea aswell, I use the one on my wagon all the time...

Plus where's all the motivation and encouragement for original mods...

I say go for it, make it fit... nothing impossible, and then say you got the only falcon sedan with a rear wiper. 8-)

Cheers

theres a thought...... with a spoiler, the brakelight in the rear window must be disconnected, so why not have the wiper arm shaft coming thru there...... just get a hole cut in the glass, and somehoe extend a shaft to run under the parcelshelf? early RX7's used a similar mount IIRC
