Dont get excited guys, im not selling it... but im curious as to how it is held onto the boot? i know there are a couple of bolts in which i have loosened... but what else is holding it? glue?

Whats the best way to remove these??

if its original there should be four bolts holding it on.

At least eight bolts, and if it is done properly, large amounts of glue, especially under the leading edge.

don't do it unless you have to as the facyory seal is better than anything you can do again.I found one at the wreckers and got the whole bootlid, all the bolts on it are undone but the wing is not moving anywhere.

ive got all 6 nuts off the bolts, but its still not going anywhere, so i presume its the double sided tape...

I got the bootlid/Lip/Garnish off someone off an XR8.. and its the rubber one, so original. But the bootlip has a few pin dents in it, and id rather get the lip ready to put on a new one when the car goes for a respray.... so with all bolts off, i should just be able to pull it up hard enough that it just comes loose?

use some sort of flat scaper under it.dont pull on it to hard as you can distort the shape of them.

ah yeah.. too true. no worries, cheers... i just dont think this boot lid is worth trying to bog up. i might get a new lid and attach the lip to that, as it means i get a new boot lid, with no sub rattles!
