is it just me or is removing the top for bolts a absolute mofo....
ive been trying for the past 3 minutes with no success.. can some one please point me in in the right direction, or give a tip???

get a 10mm tube spanner, local hardware sells em. or a 1/4 drive deep socket will work too.

tube spanner doesn't work, the bolt is on a angle, and the end of the spanner hits the bonnet before the spanner could get hold of the bolt..

most tube spanners ive seen are about 150mm long, use a deep socket then or spend half an hour using pointy nosed pliers

Yeah 10 mm deep socket, supercheap has kit of half a dozen or so for like 10-20 bucks, frankly a bloody useful thing to have in general, but I've done it with a standard sockets and pliers etc, shove the socket on the put the pliers over the thread and into the socket, give you something to turn the socket, or you could easily enou make something, just depends how handy you are. Although, I've also done it with pliers on there own, there not normerly that tight, although i recently had 1 that was, but it had been in t***, so you gotta expect some issues...

f#*kn hell.. even a 10mm deep socket wont do it..
i thought i was retarded but i went to a body shop today and the guy begged me to go some where else because of how much of a c#nt they are. im going to drill the ring to break it and then replace it with another.. bad idea??

wtf, the tube spanner will remove the nut in a few seconds, ive had my fairmont grille on/off heaps of times.
i dunno whats going on there?.... maybe someone has done a bodgy job of affixing the grille to the bonnet |
