i decided to get off my a** this weekend to remove the rear spoiler on my ef fairmont. to my surprize the holes wernt as i expected, they seem too big to fill and im now concidering the option of buying a spoilerless boot. just wondering what would be the better choice (cheaper option). thanks

Sounds rough but if you wanna fill the holes for now, get some coachhead bolts and put em in there! But yeah a new bootlid would be the go. Check with Ford themselves. Genuine panels are not that expensive (for what they are). The best bit is that they bolt straight up with minimal f**k around and are ready for paint.

i was planing on bogging up the holes and getting the whole boot resprayed. and say if i bought and new boot from ford id still have to get it resprayed. unless someone wants to buy a silver ef fairmont boot with spoiler or swap it with another silver boot minus spoiler

Keep an eye on your local wreckers until one comes up.

what colour is it as some colours are very easy to get good panels for.

if you put the spoiler back on the bootlid, you might be able to do a part swap deal with a wrecker if he has one the right colour.

Get some rubber grommets to fill the holes until you get a new boot, the hardware stores carry a range of sizes...
