nah exhaust isnt painted, just rusty, might be some overspray on it, gettin new one anyway, i prefer the auto, its just a cruiser, not for performance, total paint job cost with parts probably about 3 grand, new mirrors, rear bar, bar moulds, rear window, this all doesnt count my labour

I'm gonna need a respray on my EF Fairmont within the next year or two... damn clear has blistered and opened up on my roof. Not happy at all considering that i take such good care of the paint. I went and saw a few panel beaters to get a ball park figure - one quoted $10K (They fix Ferraris, BMWs etc so it was expected) and my mates uncle quoted me about $4,500. Looks like i might end up doing my V8 conversion and respray at the same!

you don't need to change the front quarter panels, but you will need to change the bonnet, lights, bumper and indicators afaik.. possibly have to change more i'm not sure. Have a look in the documentary section, theres a doco on it there i think.

Nah not a lot of progress since those pics, rear window is back in and rear 1/4 glass windows, am getting it taken home tomorrow so I can put the rest of it together, motor, box, brake lines, wiring etc etc etc, hehe doesnt look much like a white fairmont anymore, will have EL XR front, no kit or spoiler, no boot lock, no badges
