Hi,
If the BA XR8 Copies are for the correct offset, you will not need spacers. Spacers are illegal, and dangerous. It wont rub with superlows (I have 18" speedy ravens and superlows on my ED XR8). For tryes, depending on what you are after, you can probably pick up something nice from $350each I have Pirelli P7000's on my XR8 right now, and they were about $370 each on special. Before that I was running Dunlop FM901's and Bridgestone S03's which were about $550 each

Well I have AU 2 XR rims on my EB & if you do go the adaptor option check to see wheather adaptors or rims may need machining.
I had to get my front rims machined.

More than double what I paid for my good ones to suit 15". Do you know much cheaper tyres to suit 17" wheels are?
