I only need to do it to the g/f's car so i think rubber mallet will be sufficient.

there are probably worse areas of rust on your car that you dont know about, if its 10+ years old. supposing you did knock some paint off doing it.. whats to stop you coating it with some rustproof/clear sealer? |

took mine to a panelbeater to get a quote on rolling the guards, he reckons $500-$600 for fronts only reckons both guards need to be painted im sure i ca n get it done cheaper anyone else in vic who has had it done
one thing though is when banging it back in so i could drive the car without cutting the tyre it did a slight bit of damage to the paint but i would of thought it could be touched up and it was only on one side not both.

I rolled my guards before I sprayed my car. It's a piece of piece. I just took the guards off and bashed the lip in with an adjustable spanner. I practiced on some s**t panels first, let loose, and it didn't even dent/deform the panels in any way.

yeh i thought so why the hell would both guards need to be resprayed
